Your EU buyer wants CBAM emissions data. We'll get it to them before the deadline.
For aluminium and steel manufacturers in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and India. Send us the request you received. We prepare the numbers from your own bills and invoices and deliver them in your buyer's format.
Free review within one week. US$999 per submission after that.
Dear supplier, as an authorised CBAM declarant we must report the embedded emissions of the goods we import from you. Please complete the attached communication template for your installation…
CBAM_Communication_Template.xlsxWhy this can't wait
These are your buyer's obligations. Every one of them becomes a request to you, usually months earlier.
- 1 Jan 2026CBAM's definitive regime began. EU importers of more than 50 tonnes a year now pay for the emissions in what they import.
- Default valuesWithout your data, buyers must use the EU's default values, which carry a mark-up of 10% in 2026, 20% in 2027 and 30% from 2028. That makes your goods more expensive to import.
- 1 Feb 2027CBAM certificate sales open for 2026 imports. Buyers see their real bill.
- 30 Sep 2027First annual declaration for 2026 imports. Buyers want supplier data well before this.
How it works
About 30 minutes of your time per request. We do the rest.
Send us the request
Forward your buyer's email, template or questionnaire. Any language, any format.
We explain it
Within one week: what they're asking, what you already have, what's missing, and the price.
Upload your documents
Gas and electricity bills, production records, metal invoices. Photos are fine. We read the numbers.
We prepare and send
Calculated with the EU method, in your buyer's own template, with every assumption written down.
Watch it in 90 seconds
A real walkthrough: signing in, the four steps, our Excel formats, approval and payment, then the verdict your buyers receive.
Send your requestWhat we cover
Aluminium
Extrusions and profiles, sheet, foil and other chapter 76 goods. We handle the direct-emissions-only rule and the ingot you buy in.
Iron and steel
Steel products, tubes, wire and fasteners, including screws and bolts that fall under CBAM.
Buyer questionnaires
General climate surveys from EU customers: energy use, emissions and targets, answered from the same documents.
What you're really paying for
We'll be straight with you. In 2026, CBAM itself adds only a small cost to most shipments. That's not why it matters.
Illustrative figures. Your tonnes, prices and emissions will differ.
You keep the customer
EU buyers are choosing suppliers who deliver clean data on time. A missed or messy reply is a reason to move volume to someone else.
The cost rises every year
The CBAM factor rises each year until 2034, and default value mark-ups go from 10% to 30% by 2028. Good data now is what keeps you competitive later.
You do it once
The same data pack answers every EU buyer who asks for that installation and period, and it's the starting point for verification.
What you get
A complete data pack for your installation and period, in your buyer's own template, plus a plain-language summary you can forward to anyone who asks.
- Embedded emissions per tonne for each product code
- Precursor table with suppliers and countries of origin
- Every assumption written down, with its source document
- Your buyer's template, filled in and checked
- A list of what a verifier will ask for
- Excel templates with worked examples, so your team records every figure the right way
Templates with worked examples, free to download
Each template has a filled-in example line and built-in checks, so your team can see exactly how the data should look before sending it.

Questions
Who pays CBAM, me or my buyer?
Your EU buyer pays, as the authorised CBAM declarant. You supply the emissions data. Good data lowers what your buyer pays, which makes you a more attractive supplier.
Which products do you handle?
We focus on aluminium products (such as extrusions, profiles, sheet and foil), iron and steel products, and fasteners. We also answer buyers' general climate questionnaires.
Are you a verifier?
No. We prepare your data and your buyer's template using the EU method. If you want your buyer to use actual emissions instead of default values, an accredited verifier has to check them. We get your records ready for that and can introduce verifiers.
What does it cost?
The first review of your request is free. Preparing and sending a submission costs US$999. If your buyer asks for changes, we fix and resend it at no extra cost.
Why pay US$999 when CBAM costs so little in 2026?
Because the real risk isn't this year's CBAM bill, which is small. It's losing an EU customer who wants clean data on time. The cost also rises every year until 2034, and the same data pack answers every buyer who asks.
What if our records aren't in one document?
Use our free Excel templates for fuel, electricity, production, metal purchases, scrap and stock. Each has a filled-in example line showing how the data should look, and quick checks that flag common mistakes before you send. Upload the original invoices and bills as well.
Can you help in Vietnamese, Bahasa or Thai?
Yes. Write to us in your language using the form, and we'll reply in the same language.
What do I need to send you?
The request your buyer sent, plus fuel and electricity bills, production records and purchase invoices for your raw metal for the period. Photos and scans are fine.
Send us your buyer's request
Tell us who asked and attach what they sent. Within one week we'll explain what they need, what you already have, and what it will cost. The review is free.
Already have your documents ready? Send them all in one go, and we'll check them straight away.
You can write in Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesia or Thai; we'll reply in the same language. Questions first? Email hello@carbonpassport.ai.
